A buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column and steel beam framing assembly with a gusset plate and bolted lug attachment. Stiffener plates are installed on the near side and far side of both the steel beam and steel column as required by the buckling-restrained brace manufacturer. Concrete over steel deck forms the floor slab adjacent to the steel column, which is integrated with a concrete pilaster per plan. A defined work point establishes the geometry for the gusset and attachment design.
