An L3x3x3/8 diagonal brace extends from each outrigger to the top flange of the nearest steel beam, skewed as required. A 1/4 inch by 6 inch by 0 foot 6 inch weld plate connects at the diagonal brace typically. The connection uses a three-sixteenths inch weld to the beam, with an option for the contractor to provide a connection using two seven-eighths inch diameter A325 bolts instead of the field weld. The concrete slab over metal floor deck integrates with the steel beam supporting an HSA brace.
