This structural section details a standard concrete slab on grade assembly over prepared subgrade. Non-expansive soil is placed and compacted as required by the soils report and plans. A moisture break aggregate layer rests beneath the slab, overlaid by a vapor retarder membrane. Reinforcing steel is centered within the concrete slab thickness as specified on the structural plans.
