A channel stringer (C12) frames into an HSS 6x4 member located on the far side, supporting a metal deck and fill landing assembly. The connection incorporates a three-eighths-inch stiffener plate welded to the top and bottom flanges with a three-eighths-inch fillet weld, and a quarter-inch plate at the C12 web. A sill plate is welded to the C12 on three sides using a quarter-inch fillet weld. Stair treads are positioned on the far side of the stringer.
