A concrete slab on grade rests on a prepared sub-base of non-expansive soil as required by the soils report. A moisture break aggregate layer sits directly beneath the slab, overlaid with a vapor retarder placed per plan and soil report requirements. Reinforcing steel is positioned centered within the slab thickness.
