An inside corner structural steel connection joins a hollow structural section girt to a wide flange girt at a grid line intersection. Two plates measuring 1/2 inch by 3 1/2 inches by 0 feet 6 inches connect with two 3/4 inch diameter A325-SC-OVS bolts spaced at 3 inches on center. A cap plate with a thickness matching the hollow structural section is welded on four sides with 3/16 inch fillet welds. A girt bracket specified per detail E20/S-560 anchors the connection back to the wide flange girt.
