A structural steel column bears on a base plate measuring 1'-6" by 1'-0", secured to a concrete pier by anchor bolts. The base plate connects to the column web and flanges via PJP welds, indicated by a callout referencing a P.P. weld. The concrete pier is reinforced with number 4 ties spaced at 4 inches on center around the anchor bolts. Adjacent to the pier, metal deck filled with concrete bears against the concrete edge, anchored with an embedded angle and bent bar.
