A wide-flange beam frames into a vertical hollow structural section column sized at HSS5x5x3/8 using an L6x6x3/8 angle measuring nine inches long, fastened with two three-quarter-inch diameter bolts on each end of the wide-flange beam web. The vertical HSS column is anchored at its top to a concrete beam per plan through a half-inch by ten-inch by ten-inch embedded steel plate secured by four three-quarter-inch diameter expansion anchors.
