A buckling-restrained braced frame column baseplate anchors to a reinforced concrete pile cap. The Grade 50 steel baseplate is secured with sixteen 2-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 105 anchor bolts equipped with 3/8-inch by 4-inch square washers and double nuts. A non-shrink grout layer approximately 4 inches thick is placed beneath the plate around the leveling nuts. The concrete pile cap and slab-on-grade feature continuous and distributed reinforcing bars per plan, bearing over pile foundations designed by others.
