A hollow structural section post connects to a beam sizing per plan via an eight-inch by six-inch one-half-inch cap plate welded with five-sixteenth-inch welds. The end of the beam features a three-eighth-inch cap plate welded with a quarter-inch weld on three sides and a three-sixteenth-inch weld. HSS posts and beams are sized per plan specifications.
