An open web steel joist bears on the top flange of a supporting steel beam, with metal steel deck spanning above. A one-eighth inch continuous bent plate is installed between the joists, welded with a three-sixteenth inch typical fillet weld. Additional weld callouts indicate one-eighth inch welds at two-inch intervals typical, and one-eighth inch welds at three to twelve-inch intervals typical.
