A metal roof deck spans parallel to a wide-flange steel edge beam and receives a concrete fill layer. A continuous twelve-gauge bent plate serves as an edge form, secured with one-eighth-inch welds spaced at one to twelve inches. The metal deck bears on the top flange of the steel beam with a two-inch minimum bearing length, and is welded per the deck welding schedule. A continuous twelve-gauge plate is provided at the edge condition, maintaining a one-inch minimum and one-foot-three-inch maximum overhang dimension.
