An HSS6x4 structural steel post connects to an edge beam with a channel at the top and a wide-flange beam at the bottom, positioned one foot one inch off grid line B. Five-sixteenths-inch by three-inch by eight-inch side tabs at the top and bottom tie the HSS post to the edge beam web. Three-sixteenths-inch fillet welds secure each tab to the supporting member.
