A structural brace connects to the face of a column and the underside of a beam using a quarter-inch gusset plate. The gusset plate is welded to the supporting members with fillet welds and receives the brace member, which is secured with a three-quarter-inch diameter typical erection bolt. Dimensions indicate edge distances and offsets for the brace center line and plate geometry. Fillet weld sizes of quarter-inch and five-sixteenth-inch are specified at the connection interfaces.
