A hollow structural section column attaches to a wide flange beam sized per plan using a three-quarter-inch thick base plate. The assembly is secured with four seven-eighth-inch diameter A325 bolts arranged typically. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size connect the column to the base plate according to specified minimum clearances and dimensions.
