A structural steel column base plate features four corner anchor bolts set with a typical one-and-a-half-inch edge clearance. An optional center grout hole is provided in the plate for grouting operations beneath the column. The column profile aligns with the centerlines of the base plate, designated as plate type T per the schedule with dimensions B by N. Fillet welds of five-sixteenths inch size connect the column flanges to the base plate.
