This assembly connects two buckling restrained braces to a steel roof beam supporting a metal roof deck. The connection utilizes a large gusset plate welded to the underside of the beam, with the gusset and its specific attachment hardware designed by the buckling restrained brace supplier. The beam web is reinforced with one-half inch thick beam web stiffeners on each side, welded with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds. Additional web stiffeners are to be provided as required by the buckling restrained brace supplier to accommodate specific loading conditions.
