These connections detail structural steel girts attached to column flanges and webs using WT and wide-flange girt brackets. The brackets are welded to the supporting column with fillet welds sized at 3/16 inch or 1/4 inch, supplemented by typical 1/2-inch stiffener plates at the column web connection. Wide-flange or hollow structural section girts connect to the brackets using two oversize holes for 3/4-inch diameter A325 or A490 slip-critical bolts.
