Shear connectors are centered over beams and girders typical with a maximum spacing of eight inches at the ends. Three-quarter-inch diameter studs are distributed equally along the span based on the total number specified per plan. Where deck flutes are perpendicular to the beams, two studs per flute at three inches on center are required when the number of studs exceeds the number of flutes.
