A structural steel deck runs perpendicular to a concrete masonry unit bond beam wall, tied together using a continuous 1-foot 3-inch long L4x4x1/4-inch angle. Each side of the connection is secured with two five-eighths-inch diameter expansion anchors featuring four-inch embedment spaced at twelve inches on center, centered in the deck flutes. A typical top of wall gap is maintained, and a minimum six-inch edge distance is provided to the concrete edge.
