Buckling-restrained braces anchor into gusset plates welded to a heavy base plate supporting a roof center column. The base plate fastens to a concrete footing via multiple long anchor rods with a bottom template plate, achieving a minimum thirty-two-inch embedment and three-inch concrete clearance. Foam blockouts surround the brace casings encased in the concrete slab on grade, providing one inch of foam on each side perpendicular to the brace length and a three-inch blockout at the end of the casing.
