A built-up cold-formed steel stud column bears on a continuous bottom track and anchors to a concrete slab on grade with Simpson SSC4.25 clips secured by three-eighths-inch diameter by four-and-a-half-inch Titen HD anchors and five number ten screws to the studs on each side. The column comprises three vertical studs matching typical wall studs flanked by two typical tracks fastened with eight number ten screws at twelve inches on center. Typical wall studs continue adjacent to the built-up column above the continuous bottom track.
