Metal decking and framing beams are supported at a wide flange column using structural steel angles. A larger L3x3x1/4 angle connects as required for deck support, with smaller L2x2x1/8 typical angles coped on the vertical leg as needed. Fillet welds of 3/16-inch and 1/8-inch sizes secure the connection components based on the deck span conditions. Angles are omitted if the deck span is 3 inches or less.
