A CoreBrace buckling-restrained brace connects to a structural steel beam supporting a concrete fill over metal deck floor assembly. A gusset plate is slotted to receive the brace and welded to the steel beam with five-sixteenth-inch fillet welds. One-half-inch stiffener plates are welded to the near side and far side of the gusset plate. The gusset and attachment design are provided by CoreBrace.
