An elevator separator beam terminates at a concrete foundation wall and concrete slab, anchored by means of a steel angle L4x3x1/4 measuring six inches long on each side. The angle is secured to the concrete wall with two 3/8-inch diameter screw anchors and welded to the separator beam with a 3/16-inch fillet weld on three sides. A maximum one-inch gap and a four-inch dimension regulate the positioning of the beam end relative to the concrete face.
