Concrete slab over metal deck bears on a wide-flange steel beam sized per plan. A metal deck closure plate with a one-half inch return and trim reinforcing forms the edge of the slab overhang. A flute deck closure seals the underside of the deck at the beam flange. Plate and gauge sizes are referenced to the schedule below.
