Concrete floor slab depressions feature a minimum six-inch transition zone with dowels matching the main slab reinforcing. Construction joints incorporate a continuous keyway with the edge tooled to a one-eighth-inch radius on each side. Control joints utilize a sawcut executed within the first twelve hours after pouring with a tooled one-eighth-inch radius edge. Thicknesses and structural reinforcement follow the footing and foundation plan.
