Composite metal deck bears upon a steel beam and a structural support configured per plan, secured with five-eighths-inch-diameter anchor bolts with nuts and washers. A hollow structural section measuring four by four by three-eighths inches nests inside the deck flute with a two-inch clearance, anchored by an anchor bolt with a nut and washer referenced to sheet S-401. A hold-down specified per plan connects to the nested structural tube and deck assembly as detailed on sheet S-401. Fillet welds of three-sixteenths-inch size are indicated at the beam connections.
