A one-quarter-inch bent plate spans between steel beams sized per plan at a steel column shown in elevations. A ledger angle matches the typical roof ledger angle and cops at the column flanges. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld and a one-eighth-inch typical gap connect the assembly components. The bent plates are left unwelded to the top flange of the beam.
