A concrete retaining wall at a truck dock supports an adjacent slab and retains earth up to five feet six inches maximum. The twelve-inch wide concrete wall is reinforced with number five bars at twelve inches on center each way on each face, featuring a three-quarter-inch chamfer at the top and a guardrail post anchored in a two-and-a-half-inch square by one-quarter-inch thick by zero-foot-eight-inch steel sleeve. The wall rests on a concrete footing detailed per plan with number six longitudinal bars at eight inches on center top and bottom, reinforced by number five ties at eight inches on center and number three ties at twelve inches on center. A wall drain is coordinated per detail five on sheet S-5112, and adjacent paving or landscaping is coordinated per civil and landscape drawings.
