A nominal wall assembly features a one-half inch thick steel plate connected with one-inch diameter ASTM F1554 Grade 55 anchor rods spaced at twelve inches on center vertically. One-half inch stiffener plates are spaced at eight inches typically with a quarter-inch gap. Complete joint penetration welds are specified typically throughout the assembly, supplemented by three-sixteenths inch fillet welds.
