A buckling-restrained brace connects to a steel column and a steel beam through a gusset plate welded at the framing intersection. Stiffener plates are welded to the near side and far side of the column and beam flanges as required by the brace manufacturer. The gusset plate thickness and weld sizes for the column and beam connections are specified on the plan. The assembly features centered work points for structural alignment and clearance cuts at the brace flanges.
