An HSS8x4x3/8 elevator rail support is anchored to the slab edge and supported by a W-shape steel beam below. The HSS section connects to an angle clip L4x4x3/16 on each side using three-quarter-inch all-thread rods with nuts and washers in sleeves. The support assembly is tied back with plates and secured to the W-shape beam top flange using two three-quarter-inch bolts on each side. A stiffener plate is welded to the beam web at the rail support location per structural drawings. The shaft wall runs adjacent to the assembly, maintaining a clear hoistway.
