A composite slab on metal deck bears against a three-inch-thick concrete wall with a roughened surface to one-quarter-inch amplitude. Form saver reinforcing bars with standard hooks tie the slab reinforcement into the wall per the structural plans, maintaining a one-inch clear cover. An optional construction joint is detailed at the top of the wall. Additional connection details are referenced to sheet S51-00.
