A concrete slab connects to a reinforced concrete wall using vertical dowels that match the vertical reinforcement and feature inward-pointing hooks at the slab edge. The top of the wall surface is roughened to a one-quarter-inch amplitude with a maximum one-half-inch overpour into the slab. Slab reinforcement and wall dimensions are sized per plan, maintaining a maximum two-inch clearance to the top of the dowel with lap lengths per schedule.
