A steel base plate bears upon a layer of non-shrink grout placed over a concrete footing or pier. A steel weld plate connects the base plate to a steel embed plate cast flush into the concrete support. Fillet welds secure the steel plates together typically along the joint. The concrete footing supports the entire assembly with embedded anchor elements.
