A structural hanger connects to a beam sized per plan using a three-quarter-inch by ten-inch by one-foot-two-inch steel plate. The plate is welded to the hanger with a one-quarter-inch fillet weld and secured to the beam flanges with four bolts. The connection maintains a seven-inch gage and a one-and-one-half-inch minimum edge distance.
