A footing of specified width is shown adjacent to a trench excavation maintaining a minimum ten-foot horizontal separation. The bottom of the trench excavation must not extend below the sloped plane defined on the drawing. Backfill must be placed per the soils report. The contractor remains responsible for shoring, sheathing, and maintaining excavation sides to prevent cave-ins until backfill is fully completed.
