A metal roof deck bears over a steel joist supported by a wide-flange structural steel beam. The metal deck is secured with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld on three sides at each end. A stud or similar anchorage is attached to the beam flange with three-quarter-inch diameter studs spaced at six inches typically. A reference callout directs to detail 10 on sheet S702.
