A wide flange beam adjacent to a stairwell connects to a supporting member using a top and bottom connection plate matching the beam flange thickness and width. Two three-quarter-inch diameter A325 slip-critical bolts fasten the plate assembly. Three-eighth-inch fitted stiffeners are provided where indicated as TCS, with vertical stiffeners matched on the far side. An eccentric stair hanger extends downward from the connection, installed by the stair contractor.
