Cold-formed metal stud wall base connections and track splices anchored to concrete slabs and curbs. The typical stud wall base features a continuous bottom track fastened to a concrete slab with powder-actuated fasteners or mechanical anchors providing a minimum one-and-one-eighth-inch embedment, supplemented by number-ten screws at each stud flange. Exterior walls and interior walls with curbs require mechanical anchors such as three-eighths-inch diameter by three-inch minimum embedment Hilti KH-EZ screw anchors spaced per schedule. Bottom track splices are detailed with a twelve-inch long stud piece matching the track width, secured with six number-ten screws on each side for a total of twelve screws.
