A steel column bears on a steel base plate set over 1 1/2" of non-shrink grout, anchored by anchor bolts embedded into a concrete footing and pier with a concrete stem wall and slab on grade. The concrete pier features three sets of ties at 2" on center around the anchor bolts. Continuous stem wall reinforcement is provided with a 3" minimum concrete cover for frost depth protection. A concrete pour-back is placed adjacent to the column base and slab on grade.
