An exam light is suspended from overhead steel framing consisting of steel beams supporting a concrete over metal floor deck or metal roof deck. Two Unistrut P1000 channels are clamped to the bottom flanges of the steel beams to support the hanging assembly. Four three-quarter-inch diameter treated rods extend downward to provide the lighting attachment point provided by others. Four 2x2x1/8-inch diagonal angle braces connect back to the deck above for lateral stability. A 1/4x12x12-inch steel plate ties the lower hanger rods and bracing together.
