A diagonal structural brace connects to the underside of a concrete fill over metal deck assembly using an L4x4x12-gauge angle measuring 1 foot 4 inches long. The angle is secured to the deck system with two five-eighths inch diameter expansion or screw anchors with a 3 and one-half inch embedment, installed in the low flute. The diagonal brace is attached to the angle plate with three number 10 sheet metal screws.
