A steel channel girt is secured to a hollow structural section post using a four-inch by four-inch by one-half-inch angle clip that is four inches long. The angle is attached to the hollow structural section post with five-sixteenths-inch fillet welds applied to three sides. The steel channel is fastened to the angle clip using a one-half-inch diameter through-bolt. The assembly is positioned relative to the top of steel elevation as indicated on the project drawings.
