A RIB style single-pole double-throw relay rated for 10 amperes at 277 volts alternating current is installed in a 4-inch junction box and wired to a relay control module with Class D supervision. The common, normally open, and normally closed terminals connect the relay to the HVAC motor shutdown circuit and the signaling line circuit leading to next or previous devices. Power is supplied by 120 volts alternating current provided by the electrical contractor, and the interconnection must be coordinated with the mechanical contractor.
