Structural steel truss construction utilizes hollow structural section members and structural angles. The assembly features HSS 6x6x1/4 chords connected to L6x6x3/8 diagonal web members and bracing angles through gusset plates. Exposed surfaces of the truss are covered with 20-gauge B-deck attached to supports with number 10 screws spaced at 6 inches on center. Connection plates measuring 1/2 inch by 4 inches by 4 inches attach with fillet welds featuring two-inch returns. The fabricator must coordinate the truss taper with the radius of the blade sign per sheet S4.10.
