A concrete placing boom footing is cast prior to the main mat foundation, featuring a blockout for future equipment removal. Number 4 epoxy-grouted dowels are drilled at twenty-four inches on center with a six-inch embedment each way around the blockout perimeter. Mechanical couplers or formsavers are provided at the contractor's option for future slab tie-ins. The blockout void is filled with concrete after the placing boom has been removed.
