The connection features adjacent precast concrete panels separated by an expansion joint, tied together using embedded steel ledgers and structural steel angles. Steel plates anchored into the concrete are welded with specified fillet weld sizes such as 1/4 inch, 5/16 inch, 3/8 inch, and 5/8 inch. Reinforcing consists of two number 6 bars, 48 inches long, spaced at 4 inches on center. The assembly includes steel ledger angles anchored across the joint to transfer loads between panels.
