A structural connection links a steel stair stringer to a concrete slab-on-grade and a thickened slab edge. The lower stringer anchorage utilizes an L3x3x1/4 angle secured with three-quarter-inch diameter by eight-inch expansion anchors at each stringer, welded with three-sixteenth-inch fillets on three sides. The upper stringer connection incorporates a continuous L6x4x3/8 angle with number five galvanized reinforcing bars at twelve inches on center embedded in the thickened slab. The stair stringer is provided by the stair manufacturer, with slab thickness and dimensions sized per plan.
